H.G.

His name, I refuse to give it away.

With worries he’ll see it.

Though he’s already made his decision,

No one could have convinced me he would leave like this.

April turned May while June eased in with a forecast I’d already determined.

Days combined, waking with a vivid memory of him.

A flash that gave hope in the late AM’s but in the light

I lie awake coming to terms with reality.
