I’m back to square one
Sitting alone, on a stoop on a hill
Thinking over … What went wrong

I’m back to square one
lost once again
I followed the path and it led me right back
back to where I started from
sitting alone, on a stoop on a hill
Thinking over … What went wrong

I’m looking out, I’m looking in
but I’m not seeing
my thoughts drift away
from what I came here to do
my mind is a sponge, but no one bothered to squeeze out the water
Its starting to rot, I must have forgot
Because here I am once again,
Back at square one

Moving forward, Moving Back it doesn’t matter
I always end up standing still
There’s nowhere for me to go
unless it’s away from here
I’m back at square one
sitting alone, on a stoop on a hill
Thinking over … What went wrong

My life is a mess
controlled chaos can never be neat
My mind screams to be free
and then whispers for stability

Quite the conundrum
An infinite paradox
The path is a circle, So I’m standing still
Here at square one
On a stoop on a hill
Thinking over … What went wrong
