Vow Without A Promise

I couldn't think of what

To promise at this altar but

I can tell you these things:

"You are myself if I could fly,

It is your love in me that loves,

Your easy desire for me that desires;

You turn all my nights, which are yours,

Into my daytimes, which also belong to you.

I do not need to ask anything of you as

You fulfill my needs before I need them for

Your existence is all my need and every desire."

By Kapitan Mariya Katarzyna Reichert-Reihl (Dec.)

Notes

More impromptu wedding vows than a poem, but beautiful nonetheless.

It's funny how a year gone by can seem just like yesterday, but at the same time, a billion years ago as well.
