Loneliness Sings

by awesome-annie

i become my own midnight hymn fingers learning the soft language of ache & the room holds its breath while i unbutton loneliness slow as rain down a window my body: a wild thing curling toward flame there are moons hidden beneath skin i touch them one by trembling one until pleasure spills open like shattered stars inside my ribs & afterward i lie there quietly blooming as if for one impossible second i had finally held all of myself
