Little Miss

Little Miss Undefined,

Staring at her closet,

Trying on moods like sweaters

That never quite fit.

Little Miss Change-My-Mind,

One day loud, next day small

Blending into hallways,

Wishing to stand out,

But not sure how.

Little Miss Mirror Check,

Counting freckles as if they’re clues,

Wonders if she’s enough,

Or if enough is even real.

Little Miss Dreamer,

Plans a future, then erases it,

Draws question marks in notebooks,

Pretends to know the answers.

Little Miss Who Am I,

Smiles at the memes online,

But the captions never match

The girl behind her eyes

I wrote this about the "Little Miss" trend, but from a perspective of someone who doesn't know who or what she is.
