Before life struck

I was an innocent soul,

a fool perhaps,

seeing goodness

where there wasn't any,

trusting too easily,

expecting kindness

just because.

 

Then life happened.

 

Now I am left with

hate,

paranoia,

and a sadness

with no exit.
