Bridge of Life

Each of us are on a bridge, Walking forward, with guardrails at each side. You can turn to look over the ledge But wandering straight all the while. In reverse, we walk forward, In shifts, we walk forward, In stillness still forward, Still forward for miles. It's madness to think about So naturally, most, simply don't think. When the elephant in the room Is that the room is inside the elephant, We don't speak of anything. The silence is deafening. It's chaos to think about, Each move is already ready to be made. Walking on forever Even when we choose to walk away.
