Dec 2013
Now you're raising a family
But still you remember,
You do it to escape your current hell
Like the autumn leaves,
You wish to flee

When your smile gleams,
The light hits your eyes just right
A familiar smell brings your heart and mind
Back to me

Love you once had, cast out so easily
Wish you had held on
Now tearfully, you lose your resolve
You think you know who you are, I see those symptoms from afar

Hush those fears, they will only grow
The December of now will thaw one day
Eventually you'll be free to pray
Until then, remember a better day
