Bridging the Gap

The history is heavy, cant overide Time has not healed the great divide Need a moment to put hatred aside For peace matters more than pride Need the honesty, need to talk The road is long and hard to walk No accusations, no trying to offend An olive branch sent, real not pretend all deserve closure, to make amends Atonement & forgiveness transcends nothing but growth from a shared past Prayers we can finally move on, at last.
