A - GIFT

There are no words

To express

The pain will

Eventually subside

Be replaced with praise

And thankfulness

Life’s short

Days we didn’t get to have

We want them back

Bitterness just let

It all go

Give it to him

Love hurts sometimes

It reminds us

We are alive

And to be grateful

Humbled by you

We all need

Too grief in are own way

It’s important

Not to stuff it all down

But we must also

Pick ourselves up

And move

Forward because

That’s what you would

Have wanted us to do

We are all

Walking miracles

Children of god

You looked so peaceful

The other morning

As the sun came up

My eyes watered

But my heart felt

A sense of peace

You no longer

Had to struggle

You praised the almighty

God till your

Very last moment

You did not fear

Though you walked

Through the valley

Of the

Shadow of death

You knew what was

Awaiting you

On the other side

The darkness would

Not blind you

Because

You knew there was a light

At the end

Of the tunnel

A beautiful warm sun

Greater then anything

You could have ever imagined

You were a gift

A scared treasure

And your love will rain down

On all of us forever
