A Hero's Tale

The battle is over. My head is telling me I can shed this armor But there's so much blood, So much covers the walls. I walked into a war With the mindset of a hero, I walked out with a blade Pushed through my own chest. I walked in hearing cheering in my head I walked out with tears in my eyes. Head held high, head hung low. Cliche running through, We all are in a battle no one knows. I closed the door, I finally closed the door. But it hurts like hell.
