****

I can’t make up my mind—

should I stay

or should I go?

Back and forth,

crying,

lying,

self-hating,

criticizing

everything I do.

I am ****

stuck to the bottom

of your shoe.

Trying to escape

things I don’t understand.

What am I supposed to do?

You say you love me,

but my brain

isn’t sure you do.

How do I break free?

Do I really need to leave?
