****** for a Jar of Red *** (Palindrome Poem Attempt)

I am the hunter

He is the hunted

He is the hunter

I am the hunted

victory tastes of glory

positioned polished slug unleashed

fighting for life now mandatory

pain reprisals and despisals bequiffed

circled trenches bathed gory

anticipating vengeance hoping relief

This is no man's land.

This is no man's land.

fear permeates chilled air

intoxicating, unrelenting and primal

vicious tones in the atmosphere

a promising fight of denial

positioned teeth gnashing clear

victory tastes of survival

I am the hunted

He is the hunter

He is the hunted

I am the hunter
