Mother's Day

A steady hand, a gentle word,

The softest voice I’ve ever heard.

A light that guides me through the dark,

A constant, warm, and loving spark.

Through every scraped knee and every tear,

You chased away each doubt and fear.

With patience deep and love so true,

I found my strength by watching you.

You’re more than just a helping hand,

The kindest soul in all the land.

So here’s a wish, and a promise, too:

To always love and cherish you.
