Soldier Boy.

Sweet young child

Full of life, full of smile

Running through the streets playing ball

Go and make a friend

Go and hug your ma

Sweet young child

Full of life, full of spite

Watching from the doorway as your pa gets stolen from you

Go and love your friends

Go and hug your ma

Sweet young child

Full of life, full of spirit

Choosing “honor” for yourself

Go and enlist with your friends

Go and hug your ma goodbye

Sweet young Soldier

Full of life, full of fight

Drinking soda at the bars

Go and laugh with your friends

Go and send a letter to your ma

Sweet young Soldier

Full of life, full of pain

Putting dear photos to your chest

Go and fight alongside your G.I.s

Go and pray that you come home to your ma

Sweet young Soldier

Full of death, full of war

Lying in the medics cots

Go and cry for the empty boots

Go and call for your ma

Sweet young child

Once full of life, now full of mortis

Lying still on that battlefield

Go and sleep well

Go and wait for your ma
