UNINSPIRED

Inspired by Sir Newton,

I sat under a coconut tree,

hoping to find

gravity’s relatives.

Sadly,

a huge coconut fell on my head,

and I ended up in a hospital.

So much for

my scientific adventure.

Guess I’m not as lucky

as Sir Newton.

At the hospital,

the doctor asked what happened.

I narrated the whole story.

The doctor advised,

“Next time,

sit under an orange tree.”

“No, thank you,” said I.

“I’ll just stick

to the poet tree

(poetry).”
