War is not our natural habitat

It is difficult, I know.

With all of those newspapers

and news bulletins

telling about death tolls,

missiles, strikes, occupation—

I know it's difficult

to not just accept it

as normal.

It is not normal.

We evolved to survive

when other species perished.

We evolved to reproduce,

create life,

not to **** ourselves,

destroying life.

We evolved to cooperate

in large groups and at large scales.

Then why fight?

Why destroy millions of lives

that it took billions of years

to create?

No, we really shouldn't.

We shouldn't accept massacres

as the normal status.

Our natural habitat

is the world and society,

not war.

Because war destroys

the world and society,

and thus it destroys us.

No more wars!

In WWI, ~1% of the world's population died. In WWII, it was ~3%—70-85 million people. In Gaza, since 2023, 3-4% of the population has passed away. The list keeps going. War does too. Neither of them should.
