SPECTER

From the OUTSIDE IN

As the cloudy

Days and nights

DILUTE me

Awaiting my TRAIN

Untimely matters came

To the surface

An indestructible force

How’s the view

From up there

Shallow breathing

As the kettle

Boiled over

My innocence faded

Bitterness

Out of spite

Circling the flame

Irrelevant visions

Chasing shadows

Betrayals

Like a specter

**** now there gone

Mainframes

Like a sponge

Emotions on overload

Reflecting

Sifting through the pages

I’d never wanna

Go back in a million years

And watch as

The butterfly

Affect took hold

Relive the same ole stories

My life is what it is

Has been very overwhelming

Judgment will come for

My soul

One day I’ll disappear

Into thin air

Freedom all at once

Along with all the hurt

I’ll no longer

Feel any of it

And join all the specters

That have

Gone before me

Like GRAINS OF SAND

RELEASED INTO

A VAST OCEAN OF PRIVILEGE
