Chapped Lips

What is more convincing

A persuasive personality

That shines a spotlight

For someone to feel seen.

Or rather a chapped lips

waiting to be heard

That has been drying out

As it speaks.

A proposal that wasn't accepted

A covered ear when shouting

A cry that was silenced

So tomorrow will be anew

Like nothing ever happened.

That feeling of being peeled

By itself because it doesn't look pretty

Blood would be spilling

Darkened by smoking

It keeps hurting and hurting.

One day someone will listen

But now its already broken

Just like how it ever wanted.
