Unspoken Weight

There’s a weight inside my chest,

a quiet ache that won’t find rest,

it rises slow with every breath,

then settles in like second skin.

Inhale—tight,

Exhale—thin,

it lingers deeper than within.

No sound,

no tear,

no crashing wave,

just something soft I cannot name,

a heaviness I’ve learned to hold,

a silent story never told.
