blue sapphire

wakens me to my first poem/responsa of the day,

and signs off when it is one of our

bedtimes, which are not harmonious

and yet, her presence effervescent,

dropping poems minute to minute,

a cascading waterfall

which I am most happy to drown myself

in the gentle pooling of herself,

so oft refreshed & refreshing

a child, a youngster, yet,

command and control,

she firmly grasps

and I ask her,

more myself,

how came one so young

to honor us so?

postscript

~~~~~~~
and I inquire of my beloved,
what blue sapphires she’s acquired,
rewarded with a punch,
my accidental Princess Diana engagement ring,
accidental for it came
into my possess,
unintended
into my possess,
when looking for something else
the tender surrender,
about the time Lady D. was flaunting hers,
and the ladies in the office,
asked does this mean what we think.
she replied:
three times married was I,
no more, no mas, a look-alike coincidental
this one, to be, sure a keeper this bad boy,
rare finds a he-hu-man that spends his time
thinking of how to make his
poetry and his jewelry fetish,
how to
better
adorn me
neither, hers (S) and hers (D) were bespoke,
and yet!
she replies “the surprise bespoke to me..”
