What Love Knows

What Love Knows

Real love is quieter

than the stories promised –

it arrives like morning light,

soft but certain,

touching everything

without asking permission.

It knows the shape of your breath,

the rhythm of your doubts,

the way your name sounds

when spoken gently.

It doesn’t dazzle;

it steadies.

It doesn’t demand;

it listens.

And in its presence,

the world feels

a little more possible.

A poem about real, steady, mature love – the kind that deepens rather than dazzles.
