tremor

a leaf

before

falling

the moment

holds

its own

edge

wind

called

wind

already

forgetting

a window

not

open

and still

something

looks

through

dust

remembers

how

breath

leaves

no one

says

breathe

a foot

on the floor

between

stopping

and

moving

the floor

gives

slightly

as if

it knew

before

you

a sound

that never

began

leans

toward

hearing

and does not

arrive
