Fear not child. For I, Your loving friend Am here. Let me feast away your tears. Feed me all those hidden fears. All I ask is food, And I will consume Your darkness. Forget the worries. Leave the stress. Every ounce of anxiety, I will gladly drink. Watch me eat your guilt. My tongue will melt away your shame, Lap up your deepest terrors. I will keep you safe from Dangerous zeal. Protect your heart. No loves’ claws shall take. My talons will rip greed. My teeth shred longing lust. Never again will you be haunted, By “heavens” dreams. Sleep now, cleansed of all, That would seek to control And enslave you. I am here now. Keeping a watchful eye, And a hungry mouth.
