Spring

I hold a golden egg, shiny metal

in the warmth of my palm

as i hum at my uncertainty

I lay in my twin size bed

among my two other beds

as i watch the glow shine in my eye

Do I believe in the world I'm promised?

Among the trash I keep for company?

Do I know what's good for me?

I know warmth as a friend well enough

I know how to keep myself warm

Winter is leaving me forever

The birds are loud and chirping again
