A Servey

Am I a decent poet?

Do my words and rhymes have value?

When you read a narrative I've woven,

Do you feel anything at all?

Are these words I've spoken,

Meaningful and overdue?

Or, just as my critic says,

Are they overused?

Do you anticipate the next poem I make,

Or am I just another among the crowd?

Do you empathize and connect with,

The things I could never say out loud?

Just a few simple questions,

To help quench my notions.
