Oakwood Smile

"I may have fallen, but I'm not dead--

Come, rest upon my oakwood smile & imbue nature's blessings

Leave your troubles aside & harken unto the blackbird's mirth

From the humble beginnings of an acorn, the oak took birth...

I am here for you, we are here for each other--

We are all in this together

Be like the sky, which is never perturbed by the weather...

Maybe she heard my whispers as she set her smartphone aside

And touched me with a presence that only love knows

She bid good day to a passing stranger & he smiled in unison with me

"Do you mind if I take a seat?" he gestured with unspoken words

They sat in silence, not lost in thoughts

Conversation began to flow like a woodland stream

Touching upon how life seems to take on the quality of a dream...

Strangers no more, maybe the kindling of friendship or romance?

The world deems me an inanimate park bench, but I am life

Let not the world steal the light from your eyes"
