Artistry

"Beloved, I've never painted anyone naked except for Mother Nature

If ye feel a little nervous, know that I am too; let love be our saviour

"I've never been painted in the natural state, so it's a first for you & me"

He took her in his arms & gazed into her eyes, murmuring, "I love thee"

"Darling, please disrobe me as slowly and silently as a new day is born

Whilst I unrobe thee gentler than unveiling the beauty of ripened corn"

Her bodice drifted to the ground as gracefully as autumntides' yielding

She slowly denuded him with a sensuality that left his arousal pleading

She beautified his chaise lounge like a spring meadow flowering anew

He emulated a thirsting deer softly lapping morning's first kiss of dew

Brush strokes accentuated the fullness of her quintessential blooms

Their bodies became rapture's canvas, love's essence being the muse

He captured the beauty of her form and the luminosity of her Spirit

Of all the traits mankind is endowed with, love's virtue is the dearest

She posed bare of self, portraying now as the only moment available

His art flowed seamlessly from his heart, thus awareness unassailable

Time became meaningless, exposed for what it is, a mere finite dream

All rivers eventually flow into the sea, & yet rivers were once a stream

Newlyweds, in the 1700s

The husband is an artist, and his wife is a healer, midwife

Painting his wife naked for the first time
