The girl who sits in the back

I know this girl

she seems sad

or maybe mad?

I understand her too well

her eyes seem to swell

all that crying

sometimes she tells me

"I feel like dying"

shes the girl who sits at the back

taking notes,or drawing cats

one time this girl told her

"you're worthless that's just facts"

this insult hit a little harder than the last

she went home and slit her wrist and

promised she would leave it all in the past

she presses harder, pushing herself a bit farther

scrambling to the bathroom she grabs 3

pill bottles oblivious to what they where

thinking to herself "i feel so alone"

as she departs this life leaving her family bare and cold.

I stare at the empty desk in the back

wishing I could've helped her feel less sad

maybe things happen for a reason

but I've missed her since last season

her little smiles when we would talk for a while

oh how it hurts to lose a bright smile
