HE WAS MUTE....SHE WAS BLIND

He Was Mute, She Was Blind

He was mute,

Unable to tell her

That her eyes no longer brought him comfort.

He found another rose.

She was blind,

Unable to see,

That love had faded from her heart,

Yet she still placed his iced Americano on his table,

Hoping it would revive what was lost.

He was mute,

Unable to say,

That his wedding ring no longer fit her finger,

And the future was no longer hers to hold.

She was blind,

Unable to feel,

That his bed remained as empty as before,

Her touch no longer reaching him.

He was mute,

Unable to tell her,

That her efforts only deepened his heart's grave.

She was blind,

Unable to see,

That his lap no longer waited for her head.

He was mute,

She was blind.

What kind of relationship did they form?

He couldn't love her,

She couldn't leave him.

He couldn't hate her,

She couldn't move on.

In the end,

He was mute,

She was blind.
