False hope

In the wind and the rain

You will find me,

Where the sea meets the sky

I will be,

When you find you cannot find the answer,

My depths of despair, you might see.

The pain you've donated so freely,

The tears you have caused me to shed,

The heartache and trauma within me,

Friends warned me that I should have fled.

But I stayed, I withstood your behaviour,

My scars are the proof of my love,

The bruises I wear, from your anger,

The breaks I received from your shove.

The doctors I saw, through your temper

The excuses I make to my friends,

I know in my heart that you love me,

But I pray to my god that this ends.
