The restless dead

the light fades

my responsibilities dissipating

blowing away in the high wind

darkness consumes me

until all I know is the waft

of your cedar cologne

Inside the coffin

your lingering stare

no longer burns my skin

soil falls on me from the heavens

the boom louder than your cries

of *****

your angry that the funeral dress you chose

is too revealing,

in death I should not care for your opinions,

my ghost should haunt you,

instead your voice will not leave me alone
