Let me be in silence

by Seema108

I will be quiet now. No more knocking on your thoughts. No more shadows at your door. Let me fade like a sound at the end of a song, like footprints washed away by rain. I won’t reach for your memory. I won’t ask to be remembered. I will step back into silence and leave you in peace.
