What distinguishes poetry from prose?

What distinguishes poetry from prose?

Do I need to write one word lines?

I

Don't

See

A

Difference

Do I need to make each end rhyme?

You understand, that's a crime.

Your writing is balanced on my dime.

Your voice is merely a high pitched chime.

Is it the pieces of a stanza

The three words a line

The three lines a 'graph?

The three 'graphs a poem

An ultimately destroyed

Arrogant poem?

The end I wish came sooner

I'm trapped in this poem

Idiocy at it's best.

Is it my sonnet?

My meter scheme?

Is it my haiku?

My syllables are nothing

To someone like you.
