Difficult Choice

I feel as though I have lost my sanity.

Emotions keep bubbling,

Overwhelming me with their complexity.

I don't even know why I feel this way.

A cloud has shrouded my mind.

Blocking out the light,

And the positives of my life.

I am unable to see them, only the negatives.

It came from nowhere,

Mounting invisibly,

Causing damage to my state of mind.

Rest was needed,

But if I stayed too long,

I wouldn't want to leave my bed.

Paralysed by the intensity of my hopelessness.

I had to make a choice.

To push on.

As the only one who could change this mindset.

So I helped myself.

I put things in place,

Asked for help.

Talked.

The world already seems brighter,

And I'm starting to see the positives again.

I am here.

I can do this.

I have more to give.

Sometimes the struggle with your mental health isn't in your favour.

It is something I have been dealing with the last few weeks but by asking for help and talking about my struggles, I am already starting to feel more positive. It will take time, but I'll get there. And we aren't alone.
