Heaven in Their Hands

Wouldn't the muddy ground

have its own pastel sparkles?

Wouldn't the clouds twinkle so bright

they could slip out to other cosmoses?

Wouldn't the water flow

into bottomless space,

and to Mars and Jupiter?

Wouldn't the little girls

frame this soil into a heaven,

if they had the same t-shirts and plates

as their brothers?

Tell me,

wouldn't they?
