Intrusive thoughts

Intrusive thoughts

Swirl around me,

Kick inside me,

Like a wild animal.

Nicking and picking away at what I am

And taking all I don't have to lose.

I attempt to whisk them away

With inhales and clicks,

But still, they attack

In flashes

In blinks

In exhales, and pauses in writing.
