I Am Nobody

I’m Nobody, said the child once,

small as a hush, easy to miss.

She left her words in scribbled ink

and slipped through years like this —

The child is gone.

The voice remains.

It wanders decades, nameless, free.

I’m Nobody —

no longer small.

I — am — Nobody.
