My muse, canvas, art

my scars are gone,

settled in below my skin

tunneling into my bones

to leave it's invisible mark

the ghost of who I was

haunting me forever

I was my own muse

the canvas I worked upon

my arms bearing the scars of art

today I'm scared of the mirror,

seeing who I really am,

the joyful kid I couldn't be
