strangers in my bed

i’ll go to bed at some point. i’ll fall asleep with the lights still on and drift away thinking of the place i can feel like i finally belong. but in the meantime and well before that happens, i’ll flip from side to side with my baggy eyes wide. i’ll keep those thoughts running laps in my brain and wonder if i’ll ever get to know these feelings by name.
