Flame

by Starfruitza

Why do I do this? What’s the point? The flame that flickered so bright but the light is now just dying flame. You pour water on it but it doesn’t go out Why? Why won’t it die out? It’s not bright enough to give people the light they need. So they dismiss the candle— Finally letting it dye out. But my question is, why would you keep feeding a dying flame of melted down candle knowing it won’t be bright anymore? Especially after pouring water on it over and over again? Do you feel guilt all of a sudden for killing the flame— Do you feel guilt killing me?
