The Sand and The Storm

I am like the sand on the beach you are the wind at the shore I am untouchable, out of reach but you are always howling for more Moving gently with water and waves as you hover above me thundering rage Watching your fury and lightning strikes fade I remain peacefully in one place While the eye of the storm passes by with all the turbulence you brought in it loses strength and it quickly subsides against sand and the power of concrete within

Love can be all consuming, burning out of control. Sometimes it's easier to just go along to get along, until you decide to choose you. Choose what you need. To love you. To choose peace over pain.
