I'm petrified
Of the monster inside.
Locked behind the façade
Of a beautiful mirage,
It rages,
Rattling the bars of its cage.
Snarling and slavering,
It begins carving
Its way out of my soul
With one goal:
To expose the beast.
And the belle will revel in its release.
