LOVE-breath YOU keep

Those were our souls, so wild and free,

Who walked through fire at Love’s decree.

With Beloved’s eyes held in my heart,

I smiled to meet your radiant dart.

When my last song of Love is cast,

If I cease chanting your name at last,

When my final breath shall part—

You’ll feel my love in your heart.

I'm your Lover, yours in joy and pain,

Who loved so deeply, yet in vain,

Who left and never turned again—

Your playful dawn, now my evening’s rain.

Through centuries, in tales retold,

Great lovers paid in courage bold.

You’ll know my longing, deep and true—

My heart still dances, having you.

I met you once, I touched your sight,

I still love you in the fullest light (Illuminate).

Is that not enough, this fleeting grace,

To sweeten time, and leave its trace?

Now I am gone—yet not apart,

You’ll feel my love within your heart.

For who can know what fate may bring?

We live though love still waits to sing.

You are my sunrise, gold and new,

Now I must set with evening’s hue.

Without you, life is half in gloom,

A living death, a faded bloom.

Each breath you take without me near

Is kindling for a silent bier.

And when you hear a love song’s start,

You’ll feel my love within your heart.

Some pains stay wakeful through the night,

Some candles never find their light.

I still drink your name in every breath,

My toast to love that outlives death.

If we in life cannot passionately unite,

Then dream my dreams in your own night.

And when my verse finds you alone,

You’ll feel my love—and how it’s grown.

For every catch of my LOVE-breath YOU keep,

My love blooms in YOU from the unseen deep.
