Toddler

When you walk with heavy feet, Shoulders slumped and tired from heat, I pick you up with compassion and a hug, Loving you, all of you, no matter what. Toddler is simple, honest and raw, Saying what the adult learned to ignore. No bullshit or stories, just what is real, From joy to sadness, it is what you feel. Sit on my lap, let me tell you a story About knights and witches, love and glory.
