The tree of life

From the old oak

was born,

a shiny acorn.

The spirit of nature asked,

What are your plans?

When the time is right,

I'll eject from my cup,

from the ground, look up,

a raven will see,

sunlight reflecting off me,

she'll swoop down and pick me up.

From the sky, I'll know the right spot,

slip from her beak,

my skin slippery and sleek,

land with a bump and a roll.

After such an adventure,

It will be time to put down my roots,

the spot i picked, had no shade,

with my leaves, it will be made.

Song 🎵 "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" by Tony Orlando and Dawn
