Unwittingly

by aditya-roy

Walking on the busy streets with the trees She holds me in a fiery gaze Stars are flung from the night sky Into the cold, serene distance She's a glimpse of pale skies Her legs are the warm shelter upon a cold night Soundless streets to the corners tucked away Hiding the rust colored leaves scented With the rain's fragrance I'm dreaming of her As she wouldn't dream of me Through honeyed lines And cigarette-stained lyrics Yet she collects my heaving sighs Like she would pocket the stars From the skies She has stolen my heart in the same way And brought out my weaknesses Through her unwitting ways
