Copse (Alternative)

Copse

A lone tree stands

Its colour fades,

Leaves muted

By the grey

Dense fog

Blinds the copse

Their shadows

Slip away

Diffused rays

Light the bark

Tears thaw

In winter’s glow

Saplings break

On new ground

A new copse to

Call my own?
