I found my life in the midst of December
Wrapped in the white winter robes
and the scarlet ribbon that tangles
around my neck
I found myself to be a lonely place,
deep among snows and pine trees
wavering in the strong winds
In this great cold, I found light
in the saline night
Drinking the white web of moonlight
The stars shimmer in the
cold haze who looked at me
with a flicker
The snowy roads stretched
into forever,
pulsing with every step
of people cheering and singing carols
I could smell the frosty air
and smoke of chimney,
drifting in mist
I write this letter to the night,
beyond the scales of wintery month,
the gift of my life is all that remains
