Depression

I’m scared it’s coming back.

And this time,

I fear

I won’t come back.

The ocean is too deep.

I may drown,

not because I can’t swim,

but because I’m too tired

to even try.

I’m sorry.

Notes

I wrote this because sometimes the only way to survive is to put the darkness into words.

If you're going through something and need a poem for yourself or someone else — birthday, heartbreak, depression, or just a hard day — tell me your story. I'll write it for you.
